Art Means Business

Every year, the Humanities Division's Civic Knowledge Project brings the excitement of its South Side community connections to Humanities Day. This year we invite you to join us for a powerful and dynamic performance from Global Girls Inc., a spectacular community partner producing "socially-conscious, youth-driven productions that give voice to girls’ issues and concerns." Global Girls Inc. is one of the organizations whose board received three University-affiliated individuals from our Board Leadership Certificate Program, run by the CKP's Southside Arts and Humanities Network. The program recruits, trains, and matches individuals from the University who want to serve on the board of a small South Side arts organization and help weave the cultural fabric of the South Side. Other CKP partners, such as the Southside Hub of Production (SHoP) will also be on hand to help connect visitors with our South Side humanities scene.
